Firstly, no. The mods do NOT get a paycheck from VerticalScope to help with this site. Secondly mods have NO influence over VerticalScope and the decision making with regards to OCN. They are Moderators...that is it. So please do not direct any blame for the mess of this site toward them. VerticalScope make all the decisions regarding OCN when it comes down to the Ads,Trackers etc. We have literally ZERO control over this, other than to report bad domains/ads etc, even after that, any removal of said reported content is the decision of Verticalscope.

So to put into context...we have little control over this, much to my disappointment to which I have stated on a few occasions. Also to put things straight, I am NOT a Developer for OCN, never have been. I do the day to day internal running of OCN and liaise with VS on various projects and the site.

Like I have said plenty of times before, this site would be very different under my direct control/ownership...but it is not. So while I hate to say it, what you see and what you get is all down to VerticalScope decision making and the way they choose to run their sites. This post may seem a little "short" but I want the record straight, all that has happened and continues to happen to OCN is solely placed at the foot of VerticalScope. We simply do what we can within the confines and I/the staff cannot (and will not) accept any blame for this. Please direct all your blame towards those who should bear it.

Now, as for OCN being ''Infected'' the site itself along with the hosting is not, but malwarebytes and the likes will however pick up on certain externally linked content if it feels it to be of harm/dodgy nature.

That's what I figured was the story. Mods are doing the best they can already and all we can do as members is report troublesome issues and move on.

Keep up the good work BTW. It's not easy keeping everything in line while fighting back spam/junk posts/TOS violations all while having a normal everyday life balance.

I've seen this only on the one thread (show your setup). If it is dodgy (and, in this case, I trust Malwarebytes), then it needs to go away!

I have just taken a look at that domain, and strictly the page that domain links to does not show any issue, so far as security is concerned. The difference will be the content it was linking to on that domain as I notice it is a storage domain. That being said I notice you said it was an OUTBOUND transmission that it flagged up. Did you scan your system to ensure nothing on your system was dodgy ? Whether related to u.cubeupload.com or otherwise ?

Hi,
The outbound deal is browser producing or wanting to show the content on the odd domain not a malicious local computer corruption mbam block that possibility from happening

Wouldn't be the first false positive have you made an account on the file sharing site and see what type of buggers you get ENTERPRISE
