Hi, I currently own the Razer kraken pro v1 . Since is I got the headset I have trouble with discord and mic picking up pc sounds . If I listen to some music while I'm on discord , the mic will continuously pick the music. I have tried countless ways to fix this over the past years but in vain . Most probably it's not a settings problem since while I have the Razer kraken in my possession I have formatted my PC countless times and also change my pc , and the problem is still here. So I guess the quality of the mic is bad and just picks up the sounds.

I'm looking for a new Headset. Want to have a good mic , that doesn't pick pc headphone sounds and good audio. Was considering the Sennheiser game one. I can go up to 200-250$. I want a good quality Headset. Any suggestions ?

Edit: I don't care for wireless or for extreme gaming features or looks . I want the best quality possible on mic and sound around this Budget

Either good headphones + mic or HyperX Clouds. Just without the extra soundcard they offer.

I have considered the good headphones + separate mic but I think in order to have good quality on both and mic equally I would need to spend much more money. I am kind of qlueless on the aspect of sound etc so I just read reviews and top- headphones lists by websites , but I don't really trust them. Is it possible to do separate headphones and mic at around the 250$ without sacrificing sound quality for cheaper headphones for example ? And some suggestions on headphones and mic ? BTW do you suggest separate because it's hard to find a headset (mic included in headphones) that the mic doesn't pick sounds ? Or just because I will get better sound and mic quality if I separate them ?
I have a friend who used to own hyperx cloud and he told me he also had a similar issue with mic picking sounds sometimes.

Apart from Clouds there are no at least decent headsets on the market. Also, 10$ mics are much better than these in headsets too.

Is there a good headphones set that you would suggest around 200-250$ without mic ? The main use is gaming and music. I don't know how necessary a new soundcard and more equipment like amp/dac etc is if I go to higher end headphones. It will throw me out of budget completely.

I will look into what you suggested, thanks . Another headphones set I was looking was audio Technica m50x . Do you think I will need the sound card to drive all these headsets ? My motheboard is past years Asus rog crosshair vii hero . I have no idea on the onboard sound quality, but I guess it has to be way above average motherboard sound quality.

M50x are more bass oriented headphones and doesn't bother about scene detailing, while M220 are focused on being neutral with deep bass and broad scene. Sound card will improve audio quality drastically but you will have no issues driving them with onboard one at all.

I have M50X and they're very meh IMO. I wanted headphones with overdone bass for games that I don't take as seriously like BF, but my $25 Monoprice Modern Retros have buckets more bass and sound just as good for 1/5 the price.

I got them for free + $15 replacement pads but they probably would have been returned if I paid retail
