A5+ or Dac for volume control

I got my A5+ Premium speakers today to replace my aging Logitech X-230's.
These were connected to a S.M.S.L M6 DAC, now I'm just curious what is the best way to set it up for volume control.

Should I turn up the Dac's volume to max and control with the A5+'s or vice versa.

Thanks

I hate to say it, but you are going to have to figure this out experimentally. Some dacs have decent volume controls, and some dacs don't. Its hard to know what the right answer is for your specific gear.
