I am looking for a Wireless adapter for my Rig. Why you may ask would I want to do a wireless adapter on my rig? Well my neighbor that lives right below me has some fast internet and he lets me use his internet connected VIA Wifi. I have always had our laptop connected to his router and my tablets but I want my main rig connected Wifi. I dont have TV or net myself I have always used his connection VIA Wifi.

I am having a hard time finding a reasonable priced Wifi adapter that is reliable. I have tried a few and neither have been great. I am currently using a netgear n300 that I have nothing but problems with. Drops connections like crazy. Reviews are very poor on the net about this wifi adapter. Im going to return it to walmart but i need options. this thing was about $36.00

When this thing works I have zero issues with net. Its fast, downloads fast and Yes even online gaming does not cause any problems. His wifi is free so why not been using it for 3 years without having to pay any cable company :)

I have a jensen somethinsomething. Been using it for two years now 24/7, and hasn't faiked me yet. It's a cute little devil. When I come home I can find the exact model name if you are interested.

I had a netgear too that broke down quickly, and another that would overheat and slow down to a crawl. I literally had to keep it outside the window at winter for any prolonged sessions. I am not going back to that particular brand anytime soon^^

what kind of wifi does he use? if all he;s got is say, wireless b/g there's no point in paying an extra $30 for an a/b/g/n two channel.

If you DON'T know, that;s probably the kind you need then, because it covers all bases.

N is 5.6, so you can get away with a b/g/n single antenna. Honestly though I might spend the $10 for the two antenna a/b/g/n at that point if you think you might need it again. A is surprisingly handy, mostly because no one uses it. In really congested areas you can get a clear signal with it when nothing else will work.
