gpu was at 40-50% load in arma3 scaling was just a little less significant at higher speeds
happy to run more tests in the future if it would show something new or if i had something else to compare it with did you have anything specific in mind?

The differences would be there but they would be small
small enough that that by setting c15\c16 may not accurately represent what you would see with a c15\c16 kit due to different sub timings used but if i find the time i may give it a few runs

Even with 2T command rate it still gets the same latency as the 3000 12-12-12 1T.

but agree had a 3700k till upgraded to 8600k 3 months ago

There's nothing wrong with keeping your money every time Intel releases a chip. If it does what you want it to then what's the point?
I'd upgrade to a 4790k if I could find one cheap enough. I think it would be a great grandfather right now.

And thank you OP, I didn't realize there was that much of a difference. Hopefully I can do 144fps with a 4690k =/
