Hello, so I have 1 x and 2 x I think these rams are bottlenecking my i7 2600k, because I can't get 4.6-4.7GHz stable. What do you think?

Those sticks all have the same published spec (9-9-9-24-2N) so they should work together.

You could download RAMMon and check all their SPD timings timings though.

Have you tried the obvious - install just the matched set? GHz Overclock Club is available from a variety of other sources. Misinformation is just like real information but wrong
....and enough power to shoot the speaker cones through the walls.

I guess it's possible, but it could also be your settings for the CPU overclock, or it could be the motherboard, or it could be your power supply (if it's providing unstable and inaccurate power), or it could just be the CPU. Not every CPU can overclock the same as all other CPUs of the same model.


I just looked at your other thread. What core voltage are you seeing in CPU-Z under full load? To put a full load on the CPU, just run Prime95 for a few seconds while you watch the core voltage in CPU-Z. Report what you see. As you might be suspecting, I'm thinking you probably need to increase your core voltage. For a 2600K at 4.6 GHz with HyperThreading enabled, you will need more than 1.352V under full load as shown by CPU-Z. I am drawing this conclusion from your current settings and from what you're experiencing with these settings. My CPU is a worse overclocker than this, so don't feel bad. With HyperThreading enabled, the CPU needs a higher voltage.


I will check back later. I must go get some sleep. In the meantime, I have just one more question: what is the exact model of your power supply?
