If you care about overclocking, go for some 3200MHz CL14 atleast. They use Samsung B-Die chips. I have a set of 4400Mhz CL19 that I've used for a while. Just bought some 3600MHz CL15 and it seems so far to clock a little better than my old kit.

The set linked will still be plenty for what most people need, just won't OC that well.

9980XE  •  APEX VI  •  3600CL15  •  KPE 2080TI HC  •  34GK950F-B  •  970 PRO 1TB  •  1600T2  •  800D

I am also interested in. Could you suggest some starting points?

- 3200Mhz CL14
- 3600Mhz CL15
- ? (higher frequencies)

At which frequency could the 3200Mhz CL14 be overclocked?

3200 cl14 can get over 4000MHz depending on set up. The 3600 CL15 is better binned. Where I shop, the 3600 cl15 is $375 CAD. The 4400 cl19 kit is $460. 4500 and 4600 is just over $600. 3200 cl14 kit is $335.

The 3600 kit will oc like the 4500 4600 kits. So to me the 3600 cl15 kit is the best deal.

Thanks for your reply.
RAM choosing is always a mess (many manufacturers, models, frequencies, latencies...).
I will probably go for G.Skill, but I am uncertaint about these two models (they are both Samsung B-Die right?):
- F4-3600C15D-16GTZ (3600Mhz CL15) or
- F4-3200C14D-16GTZ (3200Mhz CL14).

The price difference among those is about 40/50 euros, I don't know if the 3600Mhz worths it.
Hope a price drop over the next few months.

Bye.

Ok man, thank you.
In general, is there a way to know in advance if the RAM has or not B-Die memories?

Usually with the same number timings like 14,14,14 instead of 16,18,18 ect.
