0% RAM Usage in Gaming ? (64GB ddr4)

Hi guys.

I just switched to a new motherboard that supports quad channel. It’s a msi z390m gaming edge.

I have 4 sticks of 16GB DDR4 Corsair vengeance LPX running at 3200mhz (XMP enables)

However I’m getting 0% usage in game. It shows 9gb used out of 50+ but 0%

Is there something wrong ?

I’m running a 9900k at 5ghz.

I don’t see any bad performances in game. In fact I can see significant improvements by 10-20fps and no micro stutter.

Hope someone can help me out

You might be reading another value instead of RAM usage, check Windows Task Manager.

CPU: i7-5820K @ 4.3Ghz (-0.08V/1.33V Adaptive = 1.25V); Cache: 3.9GHz (1.20V); VCCIN: 1.85V @ LLC 6 12hr x265 (AVX2) Stable
CPU: i7-6950X @ 4.0Ghz (-0.08V Offset = 1.22V); Cache: 3.2GHz (1.06V); VCCIN: 1.90V @ LLC 5 12hr x265 (AVX2) Stable
RAM: 64GB @ 3000MHz (14-14-12-31 1T, 1.35V) 12hr GSAT Stable
GPU: EVGA Hybrid GTX 1070 @ 2076MHz Core, 8.6GHz VRAM, Stock Voltage 24hr [email protected] Stable

z390 is not quad channel its dual channel. It has 4 slots but 2 separate channels of 2.

9gb/64gb is 14% not 0%. Whatever program you are using to measure FPS is probably outdated try getting a new version.

Hi,
Really x99 and x299 are quad channel boards and there are some AMD that run quad channel
