2x8Gb G.Skill B-die Write speed Problem

Hi guys! I'm new here and also new to the Memory tweaking. Recently I've upgraded from Ryzen 1600 to Ryzen 3600 keeping the same motherboard (Gigabyte AX370 Gaming 3) and after using the AIDA64 Benchmark, I've noticed that my Memory Write speeds are almost twice as slow, something which didn't happen before. And looking other Benchmarks here, I see it is quite lower than expected for this memory.

Memory is using the X.M.P. profile @3200 (14-14-14-34). I've put everything on auto to make the screenshots.

Can you, please help me to find out what is gimping the memory? I will probably not OC the memory too much but at least I would like it to run normally.

I've tried to tweak the numbers manually for couple if hours (mainly the numbers which I've got from the DRAM Calclator) and allthough the Read went above 50k MB/s ... my writes stayed 1/2 ratio. Quite disappointing tbh.

Thank you in advance!

Got it working @3600... still Writing is ... quite low. The problem might be a combination of old AGESA (bad BIOS) and CPU.

Quoting another member of the forum saying: "It's OK, only 3900X/3950X will have same write speed [1 chiplet gets half the write speed]."

Welp, it seems I'm out of luck

Hi,
With latency high doubt it will ever be good.
Thought latency was supposed to be improved in 3000 guess some tuning is in order.

It's because it's a single CCD chip (Ryzen 5 3600 and Ryzen 7 3700X are both 2 CCX , one CCD). On dual CCD chips it will have full memory write.

toxick , it's probably your memory subtimings

Zen2 has higher latency than Zen/Zen+. Perhaps later AGESA will give some gains, this did happen on Zen, even if not Zen+.

Hi,
About all i can make out is DramREF Cycle Time

Can't tell what DRam Refresh Interval is ?

70-80's is a lot of latency
Most Intel is 30-40's

Yes, you are right!

Because of that memory write bandwidth is half on CPUs with 1xCCD (<=8C) compared to Ryzen 5 2600X.

Elmor explains it in the link below:
