Micron E-die high latency

Hello just a question about latency in aida64, cant seem to get it lower, this is on a 2x16gb crucial dual rank kit 3000-15-16-16-16-36 @ 3400 14-14-18-14-35.
I just feel 3400 cl14 should be lower than 73ns, is it the dual rank that have higher latency? is it the 2200g that have additional latency?
This is on a Asus b450-i rog strix board, not the last bios but the one before it (the last one has problems i read)

Sincerely
Eivind

It depends on the board, does your board have T-Topology or a Daisy-chain memory configuration?

Hi,
Just the few latency posts I've seen were higher than yours upper 70's and mid 80's.
Looks like the norm to be in this area.

This review seems to suggest that Zen 2 doesn't benefit so much from tightened primary timings as it does from higher frequency and perhaps tightened subs so try loosen primary's off a bit and aim for 3600-3733 1:1
https://lab501.ro/procesoare-chipset...s-frecventa/24

Background process can have a big impact on your latency test so close down as much you can.

Edit sorry didn't realize you were running 2200G that is a fairly decent RAM speed for that CPU.
Not sure if the RAM will handle it but try tighten up your subs some more like tRFC down to ~400.

Thanks for the answers, trfc wont go below 500 on this kit, seems a common problem with edie, just that i have seen kits with much worse settings get much lower latency, such as this one:
Close to fresh install of win 10 on my machine, so nothing running in the background

There is always plenty running in the background even with a fresh install
Windows defender should be disabled and make sure windows isn't updating
Did you run it with and dram calc and timing checker closed?
After launching aida64 I will use task manager to end task programs including explorer then reopen task manager and go to run new task and type explorer when done.

A few of there sub timings are a smudge tighter than yours like tFAW but not much for the most part your timings are lower.

Are you running off the IGP with no dedicated GPU just wondering if that is adding a little extra load to display the desktop and may be the difference between the 2600 score vs your 2200G?

According to this review, removing background processes can help a lot with latency.
