New TEAM T-FORCE DARK 3200MHZ 32GB (4X8GB) Kit - Voltage and temps.

Finally got a quad channel kit of RAM after owning my x99 build since 2015 lol.

Just wondering if there is a way to check the temps of the RAM sticks? Also what voltage is safe? Currently with XMP profile it sits around 1.37-1.38v.. I thought 1.35v was suppposed to be around the safe max you'd want to go?

Also buggered if i can find a temp reading of the new RAM in HWInfo 64. Yet my HyperX Fury sticks had temps sensors / I could read temps of the old sticks in HWInfo. Guess the new RAM doesn't have temp sensors?

Cheers guys.

Edit: Any other voltage changes I should look out for or just let the XMP profile do the work?

I have managed to lower the RAM voltage to 1.35v and it still seems to work fine.
Lowered the System Agent voltage to 1.15v (as opposed to XMP setting it to 1.25v)
Haven't touched the Vccio voltage yet. Pretty sure the PCH volts are at 1.05v-ish. Vccin is 1.905v-ish.

Thanks for the help.

Edit: I did a bit of Googling and my new RAM doesn't have temp sensors. Not all RAM does apparently.

Hi,
VCCIO cpu is the one that can fry a chip on auto eventually so peg it to it's the default 1.05v it's what mine is set at.

System agent is an offset I use 0.170 on it I believe listed as "Uncore/ SA voltage offset" on that image I posted.

Yeah all my voltages are within check now apart from VCCIN which is higher than yours at 1.904v. Should I try and lower that a bit?

Really appreciate all the help.

Hi,
I believe vccin. input voltage is set at 1.85 and LLC 4 = load line calibration located in External Digi settings.

You must be on a old bios to have vccio cpu acting so well
Newer bios for broadwell-e jacks vccio cpu way up to 1.25v way more than needed 1.05v is fine.

I haven't updared the BIOS since I've had the PC. Still on the BIOS revision it came with in 2015. Never seen a reason to upsdate the BIOS if everything works as it should on the BIOS I have.

I did lower the Vccin Volatge to 1.85v in the BIOS and everything still seems to be working fine.

Only other question I have is about Vcorerefin Voltage. That's at 1.984-1.992v. All good or should I try lower that? I have no idea where that would be in the BIOS though.

Cheers.

Hi,
No don't worry about that one there are a few temps and voltages to ignore
I remove most of the ones that are irrelevant or not named properly
My board doesn't have a vrm temp sensor like yours does is why it's not listed on my list pages

I'm also on old haswell-e bios so don't feel bad it's more dependable
Most issues have been on newer bios with asus x99 boards suiciding on startup/... plenty of reports on broadwell-e thread ...

If you ever do update your bios watchout for the voltages I pointed out earlier vccio cpu/ system agent/ vccsa which again you should lower to my level of 1.030+- or with Offset 0.170 instead of leaving it on 1.15v
