usually no, So-DIMM kits usually don't have XMP profiles on them
They are JEDEC programmed
You only can enforce the speed on modded notebook bioses or some unlocked ones
99% the answer is no
Will use the slowest Speed and at best with similar timings, else will use higher timings to match the worst kit

Usually it will downclock to the lower ram's speed, regarding OC depends on the laptop and bios limitation.

most "enthusiast" SODIMMs do have XMP.

  • XMP-ready profiles for easy custom tuning, automatic overclocking for a hassle-free boost

you need a supported motherboard, but when you put a SODIMM in with an XMP profile in a board that supports XMP it applies it automatically, generally there's not an option to enable/disable it.

regardless if OP has a board that can or not, he's going to send up at the speed of the lowest kit at best and likely in single channel too.

OP: just buy a matched set if you're really all that worried about the stupidly tiny amount of performance loss.
