I would LOVE to do SETI again... but I can't download worth beans for over a year now... It used to be a favorite project to me as well...

This is typical of what I get besides the 25 retries..

Real pain too... for some reason I don't have enough "points" to post on their forum either...

The only thing I can figure is they send most of their stuff to SETI-Germany and forget about us. Hell, I download 100 times faster from projects in China!!

It would be funny if it wasn't the truth... downloading at 2.5 and 0.7 KBps is impossible...

PS: Right click and open pic in new tab to get full view.

PPS: I wonder how SETI-Germany keeps their systems busy...

Hours later...

They are HUGELY bandwidth constrained right now, according to the forums. I believe they may be moving to another area of campus and MIGHT be able to get a little extra bandwidth (that was what I last read at least). What I do to help the download situation is set boinc to be able to download 16 wu's at once. Sure, most of them timeout / retry etc... before they download, but it still speeds up the whole process overall. I got lucky once and had WU's (the 8MB astropulse WU's) having the same download issues as you are having. But then they had their weekly maintenance, and RIGHT when their upload/download servers came back online I must have hit retry, cause i downloaded like 10 WU's at 1MB/s each. Tried again like 20 minutes later and it was back to "normal"

This is what my transfers tab looks like:

Basically I babysit the hell out of it and click the retry button as often as I can.
