EK-FB ASUS PRIME X299 RGB Monoblock + thermaltake pump pr22 d5 plus

Dear All,
I hope this is the right place to post and get some help .
I am currently building my first custom loop using a EK-FB ASUS PRIME X299 RGB Monoblock and a combo thermaltake PR22-d5 as pump and reservoir .
I have an issue with a big air bubble always coming back in the top left corner of the monoblock .
When I removed it , the bubble comes back at the excat same place the day after .

The knoob speed of my pump is currently set to 3 among 5 different possibilitiy , the maximum being 5 .

Would you know what the potential issue could be and how can I get rid of the bubble ?

thanks
Da

The same thing happens to me every time I put in or change the fluid. I have the memo block. ALWAYS this "bubble" disappears in less than 24 hours. I've never had bigger problems.

The same for me...the bubble disappears sooner or later. Increase the pump speed for 1-2 days if you want since it can help. Also open/close the reservoir to release any pressure that might have build up.

Hi,
Been there mono blocks have horrible flow
Could be blockage in the ek jet part of the block what fluid are you using not ek I hope it tends to clog blocks pretty quickly.

Hey Thrashzone, I had this too but it disappeared and never came back. In the beginning I run my two D5s at full speed kept releasing pressure from the reservoir. It helps that I was using soft tubes that you can squeeze and cause abrupt increases/decreases to the flow. Now that I am switching to hard tubing I won't have this luxury anymore.

Anyway, I remember reading about a lot of users having this issue with the monoblock but never troubled me for long. It took some time to disappear completely though (not 1-2 days). Another issue I had was oil coming off the o-rings inside the monoblock but I caught most of it while testing it with an inline filter before I connected it to the loop. Not harmful stuff anyway.

Hi,
All ek blocks or at least the evo and mono block have escape routes on the bottom I assume if clogged jets occure and flow will flow the least restrictive route yes along the bottom path thus leaving voids on the top part where the vrm route is.

Jack the pump to 5 and see if the bubble disappears.
On a good day and clear flow the top part should not have any bubbles except small micro bubbles and most.

Hello , thanks all for yours answers. I got in touch with ekwb and they asked to put two drops of kitchen soap in the loop. It has not changed anything. I al indeed using ekwb fluid. The buble is not expandind , if I reduced it but schaking the tower a bit , the bubble comes back immediately. Annoying but I can live with it.thanks!
