take a look at the attachment in your first post:

Quote:
If the motherboard and it's components (eg. memory) are 50mm or lower there is no limit in Radiator thickness
since it is also including 140mm i think you will actually have 70mm of space since the blue outline is for 140mm:

not exactly to scale the mobo is probably to the left of those thumb screws

did you mention this to EK?

Thanks for continued input...

Because it will be a close fit it seems, I'm getting different opinions whether it will fit or not.

And now, I just learned of a new line from AlphaCool to compare to the EK.... Yikes.... pass the aspirin.

From Tom's Hardware a short time ago...

Going w/ air for CPU, Noctua the old standby... on an Asus Maximus Hero XI (WiFi)...

EDIT... Almost every time I see an awesome looking water cooled cpu loop, I think I want to do it.

(Still waiting for EVGA 2080ti FTW3 Ultra availability... and don't have the 9900K either)

I would buy the X360 EK kit, but only if they would substitute a radiator that was NOT SO WIDE. ( it's 60mm !! Ridiculous ) I want to put it (rad/fans) in top of case w/ fans blowing out through the radiator. The case is a Phanteks Evolv X.

looniam > I appreciated your original input, but I HATE to return things... so I want to be positive that EK kit would fit there.

Well if you want the smallest 360 radiator you can buy the Xspc TX360 , it performs decently unlike the EKWB SE 360

I'm soo decisive... back to my original thought... getting custom H20 loop for CPU....

What do you think of these choices in a Phanteks Evolv X case, planning on 3 Noctua Chromax 120's front of case blowing in, a Noctua 120 blowing out the back, and the EK radiator on top w/ 3 Noctua's blowing out.

I see the 9900K purchase on my credit card now, so NewEgg is shipping that to me this week I hope. Still trying to get the EVGA 2080ti FTW3 Ultra... nearly impossible so far.

EDIT... Finally have the EVGA 2080ti FTW3.... beginning work on the CPU EK water loop.

Slight change to build, in progress...

Phanteks Evolv X case front... 3 140mm Noctua Chromax (red/black) fans as intake
Case top.... 3 120mm Noctua Chromax fans exhaust thru 360 EK radiator
Case rear... 1 140mm Noctua exhaust

Most cabling done except for 4 of 5 Q-Connector female pins missing! See attachment... Only have 'power/SW' pin...
Pic of pins I should have but don't...(only have one)...https://i.redd.it/zac6ukamdh5z.jpg

EK water loop:
Nickel EVO block
360 radiator
Pump/Res
PrimoChill clear tubing
Nickel fittings

I just finished the hardware install/setup on the new rig... and finished the leak-testing of the EK water loop.

In a few days I'll bring rig upstairs from basement into computer room. Then install OS and all software.

Sorry if pics are too big or not clear... not good w/ getting phone pics/images into websites, etc...
