Thank you but there is no FSB, it's a C602 chipset simiar to X79.

I don't know how to decompile. BIOS is here if anyone is up for it

HP doesn't want anyone to fiddle... reason they hid the settings in the first place frown.gif

Thank you. I am not looking to overclock the bus at all just to access the multiplier. There's a very good chance the Xeon is unlocked.

I think it's really
(1) Special key command to access hidden BIOS features
(2) Need a BIOS MOD / Decompile

...and I read something about how a BIOS mod on some HP computer could brick the boards... they have a special security chip or something.. I guess my lesson learned, I should have just built it myself lol. This is nuts... Note to self: Don't buy HP (and any other vendor that restricts common functionality that exists in the technology we purchased).

Fancy seeing the BIOS master himself here. I have a Z620 workstation Infront of me right now, just the 2x Xeon e5-2620 6core12thread one, it never even occured to me that this was possible. I may be no help to your problem but now it's become our problem, I'd love to try to get some overclocked xeon action!

Hey bud biggrin.gif

Unfortunately all of the E5-26xx series chips are locked. The only ones that are sometimes unlocked are the E5-16xx series, single socket only. I think we're pretty much SOL as far as getting access to (what I would call basic) BIOS settings... There doesn't seem to be a hidden key combo to reveal additional BIOS settings so far... but HP DEFINITELY does this with MANY of their systems... Well at least you can try different combos too since you have the same system.

Perhaps there's still hope tongue.gif
