Hi Im looking for a cheap refurbed machine, which will get a 1080 ti, & become a dedicated Folding machine.

I can't seem to find system requirements for the 1080ti.

I know about the 600W PSU & the increased cooling

Would the card require Pcie 3.0?

For max points what cpu's should I look for. Clock speed, that does not bottleneck the card.

Thanks
Rick

CPU isn't really beneftial right now.

If it's just for folding, get the cheapest ATX motherboard you can buy with Z270 along with a G4560 and 8GB of RAM.

This way, you can add a second GPU later on if ever you want.
