The PC's i've built end up with system issues always down the road. That's not to say I don't mind building one again if i'm assured it will be great, but Newegg has changed so much since last I tried.
I have the opportunity to buy HP's Omen X 900-045VT for $2247 tax included in that, out the door from a local resaler friend...cheaper than the HP price of $2599+tax.
Windows 10 Home
6th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-6700K Processor
32 GB DDR4 memory (4 slots used)
512 SSD + 3 TB HDD storage
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080; Founders Edition 8gb(https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-x-by-hp-900-000-desktop-pc-series/12079701/document/c05302439)
When I add up all the parts used in the Omen X it comes out to about the same price on newegg so seems not worth it...
My trouble is, I'm caught in between building a workstation serve e5 rig so I can have two Xeon processors for multithreaded processing in Cinema4D design, but my main priority is gaming and VR capabilities... so back to I guess just finding the best prebuilt gaming PC for between $1400-$2000.
I mean if it was easy for me to understand how to pair parts together, it used to be easier with neweggs barebone builds and open box special product linking..but I really am scared to build my own after feeling like such a failure when the pc fails after a year, and those were only 500-700$ builds.
Does anyone suggest any websites like NCIXUS or even just straight from Newegg/amazon, for a RELIABLE prebuilt system that can handle VR without issues, I feel like I gotta spend up to 2g to get that. A laptop would be best but my lack of confidence in something only 2.4ghz strays me away...I like to think I'm knowledgeable on hardware but really I'm not ..and am indecisive. I just want to have a long lasting system that isn't going to drop in value by half the price in a year, so it doesn't matter if it's last years.. I just want to be able to do VR and game. A laptop would rock... but for the same price I feel I can get twice the beast in a desktop, or build my own...
Please help this confused man out lol..deeply appreciated, my researching has just made things more complicated.
