I really want to pick one up for water cooling my setup. Problem is that the stock config won't accommodate my EVGA 4-Way mobo, I have seen some people fit it in by dropping the lower tray a bit.

How exactly is the lower tray connected ? What would I need to do this ?

screws and rivets to get it out, not sure on remount, you might have to use L brackets.

A bit tricky to remove the front part where the hot-swap bay attaches but the rest are rivets you can just drill out.

Btw, I would consider the Xigmatek Elysium, it supports a 360 or a 420mm rad on top and XL-ATX mb like your 4-way.
