Status: sold frown.gif

Due to time and budget restraints, I ended up selling this. Luckily I broke even when all said and done. Sorry to everyone that subscribed.

This is my first formal build, as well as my first attempt at sleeving. I'm in this build for the long haul -- I don't expect to have all the parts until Christmas. Hopefully I can keep you entertained until then!

The Plan:
  • Full-view side panel window
  • 100% sleeved cables
  • CPU-, GPU-, and, if possible, RAM-watercooling
  • Custom lighting

The Parts
  • CPU: Intel i5 3570k (received)
  • Mobo: ASRock Z77E-ITX (received)
  • GPU: XFX "Double D" Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition (received)
  • RAM: 2x4gb Corsair Dominator (received)
  • SSD: ADATA Premier Pro SP900 128gb (received)
  • PSU: Silverstone 450W SFX Gold Modular (received)
  • Case: Bitfenix Prodigy (Arctic White) (received)

Watercooling

In lieu of a full loop (not enough money around), I bought a used Corsair H100 off of the OCN Marketplace and fixed the paint up. Hopefully the big-boy loop will come next year.

Update!

I ordered some adhesive carbon-fiber vinyl (this stuff) awhile ago and already had the chance to put on the little SFX power supply as well as its mounting bracket:

Oh, look, a package from Nils! I wonder what it could be...

Nils does the best cartoons.

I already have my Xacto knives, my molex remover, precision shears, lighter, etc. Just waiting on Lutro0's custom tool. I might have to start without it.

My thumb already feels raw... ah well. Luckily I haven't broken the pin-removal tool yet. That's enough for one night.

I'll sub any build with good quality pictures. And these are good quality pictures. I especially like these two:

Thanks! Means a lot coming from Mr. BBBB biggrin.gif

I'm glad you like the photography because I was a little worried -- I'm stuck with an ancient Sony DSC-F707 my uncle gave me. I thought about dropping $600 on a new camera but I may as well just spend that money on parts for the build considering the photos are coming out pretty well. I just wish the auto-focus wasn't broken.

Update: Haven't had much time at all to work on it and there's been a slight mixup with the sleeving tool I ordered from Lutro0. Check around this weekend.

At least I'm done pulling pins for awhile...
