C300 Brushed Metal

This is an idea that I've been working on during the past months, changing many times on the design due to the lack of time, but now that I've finally decided on a specific design and I'm on vacation I want to finish. One of the reasons I decided to make this case mod is that I've not seen many mods on this case, which is weird to me due to flexibility and solid construction of the case (classic on Corsair products), better than many other cases around. thumb.gif
This is a basic idea of what it'll be:

(Corel Draw killer skills biggrin.gif)
Main Hardware

CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 965 @4.0Ghz

Mother: Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1866Mhz

GPU: Asus HD7970 DirectCUII <3

GPU Cooling: Prolimatech MK-26 Black Edition

CPU Cooling: LEPA LV12 Black

SDD: Corsair Force GT 90Gb

HDD: WD Caviar Black 1Tb

PSU: OCZ ZT-750 750w

Notes
.- For the moment the CPU it's being air cooled but I plan on adding a pre-made custom loop like a Swiftech H220 or something similar.
.- I still dont have a clear idea on what to make with the front panel, but I'll definitely put some work onto it to make it match with the whole scheme of the mod.

Tried different styles for the psu shroud but didn't like them so returned to the original:

Also started to make the CPU cooler hood

Safety first!!

Still have to bend the edges and sand it to get a brushed metal look:

This will be the new logo, but i'm still unsure of what will be its location in the case, could be the front panel or the cou cooler hood:

Been thinking on how to attach the new hood to the cpu cooler, mostly I want to avoid soldering 'cause it could broke the cooler or have an impact on the heat dissipation performance, but if I can't find (or make) anything like a bracket I will have to solder.

Didn't had to work today so made a huge progress on the morning;

Couldn't decide how to attach the left panel to the case so made some angles out of a metal sill that was laying around on the backyard

Didn't want a "shiny" finish so picked up a 400 grit and the result came up very good, although i think i'll try another grit this week as soon as I reach to the hardware store.

That will need some paint smile.gif
