Hi OCN smile.gif

My name is Yasir Jamal im from Pakistan and this is the first time I’m going to mod a case, I hope I won’t disappoint you as a newbie,
The reason I choose this old piece of trash is because it was my first pc back in 2005 and was my first crush so I can’t stop loving it since now although it’s not in a good condition but I’ll definitely try to do some modding.rolleyes.gif

I’ve joined OCN couple of years ago and ever since I used to watch all those fabulous builds that are way too awesome then awesome , and then I found something named as “Beige Modding” first two paragraphs just pushed my enthusiasm to what I love and here I am doing it .

I thought would it be possible to install 12 x 120mm fans in a case where used to use only 2 x 80mm fans also keeping the noise level low. I have something in mind I hope it work that way.
PSU mounted to bottom
New Motherboard tray
Couple of holes for cable management
Paint it to white and Black.

I can’t afford to have expensive hardware and what I have is enough for my needs. Anyways here is the list.
Asus P7P55D
Core i3 – Oced to 4.2Ghz
2 x 2GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600Mhz
Hyper 212 Plus
GPU : 5770 , 6870 and 6950
14 x Xigmatic XLF 1254 120mm Fans.
Corsair CX 430Watt

And this is the bad boy

The idea is to put all of them into the case wink.gifbiggrin.gif

Lets tear it apart

That's the original motherboard tray.

And drive bays , seperated from the case, i dont think so i would use them later on so..

I dont have a dremel with me right now so cutting it with a bent nail rolleyes.gif

If in case i need some metal sheet i would be using them lol .smile.gif

Creating a draft for the back i/o plate . I actually planning to put my drives on the back side of the motherboard tray so adjusting the i/o plate also my psu isn't a modular one so it should have enough room for all the cables to fit behind the motherboard tray.

That's it for now, Next I would be doing some work on the motherboard tray, so see you guys tomorrow thumb.gif
I love u OCN biggrin.gif

Update Time

Rivits Done on back panel, Edges needs to be grind off

Just rough measurements for the front intake fans

Some Fails and redos well biggrin.gif

Spare metal sheets to cover the back panel

PSU Cutout

Offsetting the tray from the rear for cable management and hdds

For the motherboard tray I used side panel of the 2nd beige case :-)

Rough markings for the psu. That side panel is a history , color tells it lol

Some other rough measurements

Getting into shape smile.gif

Made some cuts to hold the backpanel shroud in place

lol at this one

For measuring the motherboard standoffs i used a spare motherboard and marked accordingly

Placing all three parts together temporarily with nuts and bols

Align the slots

Looks just fine

Double checking if the gpu fits

This seems good

Marked and drill the holes for standoffs , i realize i can't just insert them, as these are threaded , so looked so some tools to do the work. That sidepanel is way too think that i expected.mad.gif

Luckily found these thumb.gif Just perfect to thread for the standoffs biggrin.gif

Few of the standoffs in place , btw i didn't buy standoffs i grab them from the other cases i mentioned earlier

Top View for the cable management

Put some spare 120mm in place, so far its good

all of them are straight... rolleyes.gif

Now with the motherboard tray aka side panel of other case smile.gif

Since i only need 4 holes for on the tray so marked accordingly for 24pin eps and sata cables, These are actually ovals tongue.gif

Cut out for the 8pin eps

Started now with the side panel

I don't like the square cuts , so i tried cutting the edges more to circle

All Measurements done

And Done

Sorry about the crappy pics was taken from BB.

Im still thinking about the paint, it should be black or white , or maybe blue and white...or something else.. Also im planning to put 3 120 mm fans on top so any easy method how am i suppose to do that, i got the dremel from a friend of mine for couple of days , so hopefully it should be done in two days times... smile.gif
Any suggestions ?
