Raijintek Metis in green

Hi!

I'm building a computer in green version of Raijintek Metis. My earlier builds were mostly black-white, but this one will be colorful and flashy with RGB iluminated fans etc. I hope I will be able to maintain a good taste

Specs:
i3 8100
ASRock H310M ITX/AC
Corsair Vengeance LPX 1x8 GB 3000 MHz CL 15 @ 2400 MHz
Gigabyte GTX 1050 OC
Goodram Iridium Pro 240 GB
BeQuiet! SFX 300W
Deepcool Gabriel
Raijintek Iris 256 RGB 120 mm x2

First of all, I ordered acrylic top and side panel. Also top of case has been cut with water jet to fit the new acrylic panel.

Glance at Deepcool Gabriel

Case cardboard box is pretty useful

ASRock H310M ITX/AC equiped with Deepcool cooler

HDD led swaped to green one

Fitting test and first problem. In this orientation of cooler, memory stick is too high to fit. Other orientations of cooler aren't possible, because rear case fan makes mounting fan on cooler imposible.

Painted I/O shield and temporary ATX > SFX power supply bracket.

Test of fans lightning. The fans are powered by two connectors, first of them being standard 4 pin PWM one. The second one is 4 pin adresable leds connector, which should be attached to R/F controller seen above the power supply.

Few color options for paracord sleeving. I picked the brightest one without pattern.

As I'm waiting for the paracord and new RAM modules shipping, you can take a look at my Raijintek Metis project that was made 1 year ago. The case was in fact SilentiumPC Q50, but it was pretty much the same.

Specs:

i3 6100 (second hand, couldn't get my hands on G4560)
Msi H110I Pro
Goodram Idirium Pro 4GB 2400 MHz CL 15 @ 2133 MHz
Msi GTX 1050 Aero ITX
Thermaltake Smart SE modular 430 W
Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB

Modifications:

White and black paracord sleeving
2mm PCW window
Cold white leds with on/off switch near GPU outputs
Color change of the sticker on Intel box cooler

Peripherals:

AOC I2269VWM
Cougar Minos X3
Natec White 250x210 mm mousepad
Dell KB216-B QuietKey

I got new RAM in my hands - 2x4GB Goodram Play 2400 MHz CL15 with slightly lower radiators. It still doesn't fit under my CPU cooler in orientation I have chosen.

Goodram is a Polish brand, which produces well-priced RAM, SSDs, pendrives etc. It's not well known aparat from Poland now, but as I know, they are working on a new brand IRDM, whose products should be available in more countries.

On the photos below you can see where is the problem. Ram fits under the part of radiator, which is marked with blue arrow. What I had to do is to cut the part marked with white arrow.

As I don't have a Dremel I took a hacksaw, a pile and ... someone to help me.

The result is pretty good, I will post a photo next time
The most important is that the computer is working now and I was able to check few things about cable management concept, temperatures and noise. Temperatures are pretty good, but there wasn't any GPU inside the case.

As the motherboard has WiFi and Bluetooth, only two cables (AC for PSU and video output) are required to make it work. BT speaker, WiFi network and remote mouse and keyboard get the job done

Sleeving done!

I cut off two cables, one with molex and one with sata connetors. I also soldered one molex plug to the remaining sata connector. It will be used to power the fans LED controller.

New stickers for the fans. I made it the same like the original ones, but with green background to match the project theme

Build is almost done - only few things needs to be fixed.

Gigabyte GTX 1050 OC graphics card with transparent acrylic backplate covered with black foil.

SFX to ATX PSU adapter made from 3 mm black acrylic. 4 screws on the last photo holds the SSD - first time in a long time I didn't use velcro or double sided tape for this ;p
