Continuing on the work on the rebuild as they say,
CPU Block Received and installed:
Ram was optimized more and got it to work at CL14 at 3200mhz.
System was fast before.. now it feels like it's on crack... General responsiveness was night and day between CL14 and CL16 and on the XMP timings it was fast.
Now the sad part of the story... I got a decent deal on my 1080 ti cards and sold them off... Good part newegg had a refurbished 2080 ti from gigabyte for a steal and took the refurbished pill... Basically it came to straight exchange with $50 worth of shipping by the end.. So low and behold:
This build went from a 3900x to a 3700x and from a 2x1080ti to 1x2080ti.
Fill her up scotty:
Been a long time since I ran a dedicated single card. But with the current SLI status it was bound to happen... can't always have a 2nd card for the looks.
Since it was a refurbish... I was afraid of getting anything but samsung memory on the card... but I got samsung
Temperatures are fine fine fine:
CPU maxing out at 69'C under full load and GPU maxing at 41-42'c is might fine for me.
All fans are running at 900rpm... basically the AC at the lowest setting is noisier.
As general components this build is completed. Just got to get some more parts and cable management work can be worked on to make more presentable.
