[BUILD LOG] TT Tower 900 Build
Hey all, so it's been about 10 years since I've built a full system, so forgive me if I'm leaving anything out or not doing it right (I'm sure you'll be more than happy to let me know if i'm not lol)
I technically started this build a few years ago before I hurt my knee, I started with the case, it's a Thermaltake Tower 900 black.
I had planned on putting my (now old) current system in there. But I have just recently started buying parts to upgrade, and ended up just going completely new on everything, because why not?
First of all, here's my parts list for all my fellow geeks/nerds.
-Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus XI Formula LGA1151
-CPU: Intel Core i9-9900k
-GPU: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti
-Memory: G.SKIL 32GB (4x8GB) TridentZ RGB DDR4 PC4-34100 4266Mhz
-SSD: Samsung 970 PRO Series 1TB M.2 (MZ-V7P1ToBW) (total of 2)
-PSU: Corsair HXi Series, HX1200i 80+ Platinum
-Monitor: Acer Predator XB321HK 32" G-Sync 4k Monitor
-Monitor: Acer KG241Q Pbiip 23.6" (secondary monitor)
That's the core system That I have now and have started to setup.
Here's my non-core part list
-CPU Block: EK-Velocity RGB - Nickel/Plexi
-GPU Block: EK-Vector Strix RTX 2080 TI Full cover RGB waterblock Nickel/Plexi
-Res/Pump Combo: EK-XRES 100 REVO D5 - Acetal (total of 3)
-Pump: EK-XTOP Revo D5 PWM Acetal - (incl. pump) (total of 2) (for redundancy and extra push on 480mm rads)
-Radiator: XSPC EX360 120mm x3 - Black (total of 2) **SOLD & REPLACED**
-Radiator: Thermaltake 480mm CL480 Copper/Brass (total of 2)
-Radiator: XSPC EX120 120mm x1 - Black (total of 1)
-Coolant: EK-CryoFuel Solid Concentrate Coolant, 250mL (Cloud White) - For all 3 loops
-Misc: All kinds of fittings and tubes and goodies to make things glow and look pretty.
What I have planned is to have three separate loops. One for the CPU, one for GPU and one for MB and anything else that pops up later that I want to cool. If I need to I can upgrade the single 120mm rad but right now all it'll be cooling is the single MB block that came built into the board.
I'm going with black with White coolant, and then using the RGB's to flood it with whatever colors I'm currently in the mood for. It'll probably stay in the range of the orange/red colors seeing as Orange is my favorite color. (and the color of my chair, chair mat, and both my cars, go fig right?)
So, first post is done. I'll be uploading some pics here in the very near future.
Thanks all and hope you enjoy and have some fun feedback.
