Ok. I realize that I have recently posted updated pics but every day I turn on my system I think of it as a work of art. As pretentious as that is I wanted to share a few pics I took today. It really is a beautiful machine.

Indeed, this is a beautiful system, hold on to that case, you won’t find anything like it anytime soon if ever.

Just pulled out of storage where she's been since December and got her home. Considering the amount of effort that took and that I didn't break it down I'm impressed so far. About to add fluids and see what happens. Wish me luck. Now that I know I'm keeping the house in my divorce I'm ready to get back into normalcy again.

y office might be trashed and my system is slowly bleeding bubbles but I'm back online. Took me all night to get everything up and running. I made some changes to the tubing which did nothing to improve flow. Love the way it looks but I can't stand how much it rattles. Even after tightening all the screws. Ran into a couple leeks after modding my tubing. Soaked my top GPU. I don't think a single piece of hardware in my system hasn't been soaked in distilled water at some point. After a quick towel dry everything works. I gave up 4th monitor to my son. I'm ok with that. He needed it more then me.

Welcome back first and foremost!

New beginnings can be a number of things, exciting included, but i admit it often helps me when they're undertaken along with something i'm attached to; sentimental value, right?
Best of luck with everything from now on; PC adventures included, lol

(i'd also think that 3 monitors suffice, yes, lol)

Thank you much. The back story. I was the one who filed for divorce and I was terrified that my wife would destroy everything I cared about. She especially hated my PC and I dreaded the fact that even without fluids weighs close to 100 pounds. I didn't have time to tear it down either. I also had no good way to pack it up so I used 3 large cardboard boxes with lots of bubble wrap and made my own case. The problem was that packing tape wasn't strong enough to hold everything in place so I used Polypropylene Webbing straps with medal clasps to secure everything in place. Since this was a stealth operation I had to pack it all up and carry it down a flight of stairs and into a moving van along with 12 other large boxes full of things I didn't want to lose. When I did all this I hadn't hired my lawyer yet so I didn't know who would be keeping the house. So yesterday was the day I went and collected everything back from storage and I was amazed that the only damage was a very slight scratch on the plexi window. So in addition to the house I also got primary custody of our 15yo son and it's now just him and I in our 2800sf 5 bedroom home. I'm also retired so I have lots of free time when he's at school. She has visitation every other weekend. So my days consist of going to the gym every other day and trying to convince my son that PC gaming is much cooler then console gaming. Our next plan is a father son PC build from start to finish.

I can understand the hectic and in secret combo, lol, oh yessir!
(i initially hid mine in the back yard, lol.. under tarps..)

Good to know about the kid, great start right there! And the house of course; sounds like emotional turmoil aside, you're at the least on top of everything. I will sound disgustingly cynical, but ultimately, that's the important part when you have responsibilities for more than just yourself.
And anyway, if you ever feel lonely, you can always have mine! I can ship her as is, or with all her stuff, it's O.K. either way!

Pride, honour and purity.

Hey, I havent checked the caselabs forum in a while and saw this.

Sorry to hear about your divorce. It sounds like things weren't great though and I happy to hear that things are turning around. I know I don't know you or your situation but being married with kids myself I can't imagine what going through that would be like.

I get the fear of your wife destroying something that you love though. My computer is the one thing I have also that is just mine and that I spend all my time on. In many ways computers are the modern version of 70s men working on their cars...

I hope to share my love of PCs with my kids in the future(they are 1 and 3) but for the time being I am just hanging on and making the best out of a very busy and hectic life.

Best Regards,
Bryan
