NEED HELP gt9600 ocp error

SORRY FOR MY BAD BAD BAD ENGLISH...!!
hi... i'm new for this thread... i have foxconn nvidia gt 9600 vga card.. but when my pc comes to desktop and trying to open videos ,games , web browsers my monitor displaying massage no signal.... sometimes that massage appears while loading the user log on page.... and vga card fan running very high speed...

so I search on web for this problem and found that OCP cause the problem, and if vGPU increase 1.10v to 1.35v will slove the matter... but i don't know how to do it correctly.. i can do solder stuff ,but without knowing the right way i cannot take any risk... so please some one guide me to solve the matter..!!

First, is the gpu overheating or artifacting? Sounds to me like bad solder joint. Maybe try baking in oven to reflow solder?

If the issue was caused by OCP/OVP then how would throwing more voltage at it fix it?

OCP stands for Over Current Protection.


Likely the card is failing. But it is possible the 3d drivers took a crap




Being it is over 10 years old, time to spend the same amount for a tank of fuel for a car, and get a much more modern card that is far more capable.


For now, you could press F8 during windows boot up, jump into safemode, and uninstall drivers to see if it stays working during normal bootup
