Do I need separate usb drivers for my lg g6?

So I have been having some annoying issues getting my g6 to connect properly. It plugs in, is recognized by my system, and then frequently might freeze up during a transfer of files from the phone to my computer. Are there separate drivers that would need updating on my computer itself, specifically related to the g6? Or is it my systems usb 3.1 driver? I see a ASMedia usb 3.1 extensible driver, from 9/2018 but cant find any newer than that. I get the issue with a type c usb 3.1 gen 2 cable and also with the included charging cable with the phone plugged into a regular usb port. What am I missing? It is a g6 , model vs988

Your missing nothing. G6 is a crap phone. Back up your data to google drive or some other cloud storage, and then buy a new phone.

Oh dont I know it. Got a new external drive recently and wanted to pull a bunch of stuff off without going through the google middleman. Very annoying. Hate this piece of junk so much. Not sure what I want the next one to be, although it seems to be t he same story no matter what. I do miss my old droid turbo though, never an issue with that bad boy.

Maybe this problem is caused by a virus on your pc or phone.
