I recently quit my life as a live in chef to get back to what i love, Gaming and overclocking. Just rented an apartment and reduced my working life to 3 days a week.
I'm looking to build a Ryzen System now AMD are back in the game, for 4k gaming.
Unless you are willing to spend the money you can forget about 4K gaming it still takes a lot of GPU power to do if you want to max all settings in modern triple AAA games
A high refresh 1440P monitor is a much better option and once you have experienced what 120+ hz feels like you never want to play at 60hz again so no point in 4K unless you can pay the $1500 a 144hz 4K monitor costs
I don't really play AAA titles, I play things like Grid Autosport and GTA 5. Was thinking of going for the MSI 2070 super then when GTA 6 comes out ill add another 2070 super for sli. should be plenty i think.
I don't mind dropping it down to 1440p if i like the look of a modern game. The system is to power my samsung 4k 60hrz 50".
You might as well take your money and set it on fire the end result is the same SLI is dead and gone and many games will worse with two cards so buy a 2080 Super instead its a much better use of your money and it will work much better
As a former SLI user myself its total pain in the butt and not worth the time and money most of the time it runs much worse if the game will even start
Its terrible so dont do it and see my last post if you missed it
Ok looks like it will be the 2080 super then. there around £650 in the uk atm.
The idea behind this build is pure comfort, I'm not up for the desk and chair experience anymore, its all about 50 inches in my living room on the sofa. I'm willing to pay what ever it takes to get the experience i want.
4k 60 fps,
