Is this expected for a 2014 SATA SSD's write speeds?

I've never filled this SSD, only reinstalled Windows once or twice on it. Is it normal that my write speeds are this bad, especially given my read is normal for a SATA 3 6Gb/s SSD?

I think so...try testing with the zero-fill option and see what it says, it should be on spec with it. Basically, with incompressible data, your drive is slower due to its controller, but faster with compressible data (0-fill).
