TensorFlow Benchmark ResNet-50 FP16

Requirements: Ubuntu 18.04.1
TensorFlow 1.12
Branch: cnn_tf_v1.12_compatible
Benchmark: https://github.com/tensorflow/benchm....12_compatible

AMD ROCm supported cards:

Quote:
GFX8 GPUs
"Fiji" chips, such as on the the AMD Radeon R9 Fury X and Radeon Instinct MI8
"Polaris 10" chips, such as on the AMD Radeon RX 580 and Radeon Instinct MI6
"Polaris 11" chips, such as on the AMD Radeon RX 570 and Radeon Pro WX 4100
GFX9 GPUs
"Vega 10" chips, such as on the AMD Radeon Radeon RX Vega 64 and Radeon Instinct MI25
Vega 7nm
AMD instructions:

Do not install the amdgpu-pro driver since the ROCm stack includes drivers. If you installed amdgpu-pro drivers uninstall using command "amdgpu-pro-uninstall" to uninstall them. You will also have to uninstall the ROCm stack "sudo apt autoremove rocm-dkms"
Follow these steps to install ROCm: https://github.com/RadeonOpenCompute/ROCm
Follow these steps to install Tensorflow-ROCm: https://github.com/ROCmSoftwarePlatf...rflow-upstream

AMD Tweaking:

Use ROCm-SMI - https://github.com/RadeonOpenCompute/ROC-smi

nVidia instructions:

Remove older nVidia drivers: sudo apt-get purge nvidia*

Add the graphics driver PPA:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:graphics-drivers
And update
sudo apt-get update

Install the latest Nvidia driver:

sudo apt-get install nvidia-410

Install CUDA + Tensorflow: https://medium.com/@asmello/how-to-i...4-b645e769f01d
