How do you get exact CPU temperate?

I don't understand how do you get an exact cpu temp? All the temp software just bounce around when benchmarking. How do you guys do it?
I'm looking to make few runs and record the readings, then make changes and compare, and do this over and over a couple of times. But with the temperature of every sensor fluctuating it's not possible to do comparison.
For example when I look at cores, they jump about 5C maybe more while running the cpu 100% with anything such as prime, aida...
When you look at websites doing reviews, they post an exact number. I'd like to know how do you get that please. Attached picture as an example.
Is there a specific software or guide to do this. I can't find the info searching.

All of the testing is done with an ambient temperature of ~19C. RealTemp will be used to monitor the temperature of the CPU and Prime95 (Large FFTs) will be used to deliver the full load to the CPU for 20 minutes. After each testing, we let the temperature inside the case to stabilize for 10 minutes to ensure that the temperature inside the case is back to normal. This is something that many reviewers take for granted when testing CPU coolers and believe it or not, it makes a world of difference.
btw, don't go crazy comparing your temps to thier's. the graph is really to compare the temps relative to other coolers in the same system. it's a ballpark figure but YMMV.

Remember the golden rule of statistics: A personal sample size of one is a sufficient basis upon which to draw universal conclusions.

Hi,
Idle temps mean very little but usually aren't much higher than ambient or room temperature

I usually only look at max temp seeing it is an average of the tj max of the chip
Tj max for my chip is 110c
I try to keep it 15c under that on 100% load.

Core temperature differences usually if under 10c apart fore each other is doing pretty good
Any more spread is usually a thermal paste application error.
Thermal paste I use is noctua nt-h1 it performs very well and is easy to get locally.
