Hobby OC'ing, benchmarking, etc

We have alot of people that contributes greatly to the community by sharing OC and benchmarking results of various system across various platforms.

However, the OS is locked to the mobo. So I was wondering how do you benchmark various platforms with varying socket/chipset when you need to get an OS for them all? Do you simply buy them all? or am i misunderstanding something?

The reason I am curious about this is because I have a core 2 duo. And I am planning on picking up some older gen cpu (currently thinking G3258 and FX8350) for OCing and benching for fun.

but i cant afford 3 separate OS for each.

Just dont enter a license key for windows. The nag screen on the bottom right wont effect benchmarks in anyway.

This.

Anyway i think UEFI store your windows license, but this doesn't mean is "tied" to it. I have a Retail Licence i'm free to install in any pc i want (obviously one a time).

Yes, You have a few week before it starts to bother you with.
And then if it does bother you you can just get one of those $5 keys off ebay.

There is a command to reset the nagging prompts for up to 90 (3x 30) days I think.

DDR2 Frequency 1st Place = 910.1MHz DDR (1820.2MHz) - http://hwbot.org/submission/3589779

Reference Frequency 10th Place = 711.18MHz - https://hwbot.org/submission/3978447_
