I just see people say that a lot and often they haven't experienced such a setup and just assume it isn't going to work properly.

Laptops have definitely come a long way in the past few years. CPU strength with skylake has definitely increased. Heck the 6700HQ is more powerful than my 4.5GHz overclocked...

I am looking for a gaming laptop for 1500 US Dollars that will have one of the new 1xxx series GPUs. If I can find one I will grab it in 2017.

2000US dollars is a bit too much for me. 1500 is my limit for a laptop.

Edit : I am also looking for it to be 1080p as it will be my secondary gaming rig I dont mind it. 17 inch and 1080p looks pretty still.

Still more expensive than a comparable desktop, but the main advantage is still there: you can carry it around wherever you go.

Nowhere in there does it conclude the laptop has a desktop GTX 1070 in there... It only states they aren't using the M postfix for the MOBILE pascal. ergo, they are being sleezy again not advertising there is a difference between the GTX 1070 and the GTX 1070m.

Seriously, a few OEMs even had a 980 full size in a laptop with a 6700HQ, that is insane performance for < 9lb laptop.

This time is no different, the article even states they don't know the specs for the GTX 1070m, just that it won't have the m in it's name.

As long as they don't waste desktop chips (which people are starving for) on these laptop cards I think it's pretty neat for people who like laptops.
