It will forever be over and over and over and over....... until NV decided to remove Titan and give us full chip full VRAM XX80 Ti at $500-600.

If not people will never give up to curse and swear, and that include me.

The pilfering and pillaging in gaming and hardware prices is akin to a malicious virus that is currently out of control. Even the black plague met its match and the gaming publishers and Nvidia are feeling the hurt right now. Let's hope this will bring sanity back to the table. Enough of us are speaking with our wallets. All we have to do is brave the insanity with some patience.

It won't happen until dedicated TPUs fully replaces GPUs for machine learning and GPUs revert back to the status of being useful only at dedicated rendering.

We will never see those prices again unless AMD pulls another 4870. But it would seem to me AMD is more interested in capitalizing off of nVidia's greed, so yeah, probably won't see those prices ever again.

Fact:

Just as the Camaro and Mustang, entry level performance cars that were made for the middle class are no longer affordable by what remains of a semblance of a middle class, Nvidia has started pricing their products accordingly. The Camaro, used to be $25k or so, and the middle class could afford that as they were earning a living wage. Now, the Camaro, and the Mustang, are now built and targeted towards the .01% who buy Porsche and Ferrari.

$70,000.

For a Camaro.

Just 15 years ago you could have a Camaro, not the base model, but the SS or Z28 performance variant for $25k. (I owned one, 1998 Pontiac Trans-Am, LS1, later supercharged, I was making decent money in the U.S. Army).

You pick a limited production Camaro that you have to special order, with 650hp, which comes with drag radials and a line lock to prove your point? It's not even in the same category as a SS or Z/28.

I guess it would really blow your mind to know that back in 1969 you could get a Camaro with a big block for $3000, which is the same price as a Titan V.

To put it in perspective, 20 years ago when a Camaro SS had 325hp, the only cars with 650hp cost like a million bucks lol. McLaren F1 or Ferrari Enzo, for example. From that perspective today's ZL1 is a bargain

Well to be fair, $3000 in 1969 is equivalent to $21,000 in 2019 dollars. So actually not that far off the mark lol
