It can't be equivalent when it has only 6 GB RAM. They'd have to add one GB more than 1070 Ti had.

Linus had decent viewpoint there. While some of his info is likely bogus, he was right that it's not worth for that high price.

It's an expensive 1920x1080 card, and that's it.

So after 3.5 years, we finally get GM200 (980 Ti) performance for $350.

For a mere $350.00 USD, probably closer to $400.00 you can now own a low end video card compliments of Nvidia. Oh did we mention it just works? Did we mention the greatest performance of the card is nonexistent, at least for now and possibly forever? At least for the next 5 years?

But in the spirit of T**'s, "Just buy it!" Because in the words of Jensen Huang, "It just works!"

It is smart of Nvidia to leverage Freesync, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. We are all hypocrites at times. Nvidia seems to exercise hypocrisy as a way of business. They spent time and publicity deriding and criticizing Freesync in favor of their (so-called) GScync tax. Now they are being heavily sued and have experienced massive stock drops, suddenly a technology they called junk (paraphrasing) is now inclusive to an extent so they can sell more GPUs. Those dollars, gotta catch em all! I am hoping it people don't fall for this crap. Like this is an indicator of how nice Nvidia is to the consumer. It was Team Red that originated Freesync, not anti-consumer friendly Nvidia. It makes me want to barf.

No thanks.

Does anyone have a list of all the models releasing on the 15th?

Its still a decent card for the money, i mean what else are you going to buy for 350 bucks that can match this? Sure ideally a 250-280 dollar gtx 1160 without ray tracing would have been nice, but maybe the tensor cores become truly useful down the road.

Considering I paid $400 for my 980ti more than 2 years ago, this card is hardly a decent successor.

Though, to be fair, no single RTX card is good value if we relativize their performance against time, price, and competition.

Watching a lot of videos comparing to 1070 Ti, for a second I thought this would tie a Vega 64 but it seems Vega 64 is close to 2070. Also it does not help that AMDs best performing games are not present in most lists. Nvidias iron grip is too strong even when they are so ahead.

I'd buy a Vega 56 over this.

Why? I was looking at benchmarks and for most of the games i play this had a decent lead on the vega 56, overwatch especially. That seems to be a common problem with AMD gpu's, they seem to only do well in the games no one plays lol.
