Yes.

From AMD's own slides: "25% more performance at the same power". Now apply what you have learned to how much faster AMD claims it is against the Vega64, which is (likely an optimistic) 29-39%. If anything it will consume slightly more power than Vega64.

density implies atoms mass while thermal refers to atoms movements in particles space (I heard a physician explaining the heat like a probability on an atomic level lol my little brain was shocked)

yes but that way of thinking does not take into account "architectural" improvements so efficiency improvements (no bw limited like a vega 64 for example)

What architectural improvements? It's the same Vega architecture as Vega64. Unless you are referring to the node shrink, which is precisely why it is 25% faster at the same power as Vega 64. Or maybe you are referring to there being more HBM/more memory bandwidth? That is probably why the performance improvement scales from 29%-39% against Vega64, but I don't see how that has any indication of VII consuming any less power... again, if anything, it means it will consume more power than Vega64. If AMD is saying 25% faster at the same power as Vega 64, don't expect it to be any better than that, as that is likely optimistic.

double memory controllers, 4 channels for 1tb/s as I said in the brackets (and even 1800ish frequency but they have to compensate somewhat even the fewer sp compared to vega 1)

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but there are some good news, AnandTech has finally been able to get some proper information regarding FP64 support on Radeon VII compared to the MI50: it is gimped, so not the original 1:2, but not as gimped as we thought, so not as much as Vega 64, it's 1:8 instead of 1:16, which gives it around 1.73 TFLOPS of FP64, putting it in a very interesting category, between the original Titan and Titan Black.

Well, that is interesting indeed. Certainly not ideal, but it does expand some of the potential use-cases for this card.

New rumor about Navi:
Quote:
But in the here and now, while Radeon VII is certainly exciting, there’s the question of what happened with Navi. Well, according to a source Navi will not be announced until around E3 2019 (which takes place in June). The card(s) will then launch about a month later (I don’t have an exact date).
