[YouTube] AMD at CES 2019 Live Stream - Future News and Discussion

Let's talk about it

GPU

Vega 2 announced available February 7th for $699. AMD says the second-gen Vega architecture offers 25 percent more performance at the same power as previous Vega graphics.

Quote:
Equipped with 60 compute units/3840 stream processors running at up to 1.8GHz and 16GB of ultra-fast HBM2 memory (second-generation High-Bandwidth Memory), the Radeon VII graphics card enables high-performance gaming and ultra-high quality visuals. Ground-breaking 1 TB/s memory bandwidth and a 4,096-bit memory interface paves the way for ultra-high resolution textures, hyper-realistic settings and life-like characters.

Ryzen

Ryzen 3rd Gen Matisse will be released Mid 2019. Eight cores using Zen 2 with PCI3 4.0 support on desktop.

Performance seems to be at least a 15% improvement over last generation. Demo of 8C Zen 2 Cinebench showed a score of 2023. No information on how they achieved that score regarding clock speed, IPC.

This was always going to be a 7nm capability and overview of the markets it could reach. If new CPUs get announced then it will just be a later on thing in the keynote. Most of it will just talk about the cool things they will be doing with new CPUs and GPUs with 7nm.
