It's interesting seeing this as I remember ALL of the big jumps. From Hercules to CGA; EGA to VGA. ATI Rage and my 3dfx Voodoo cards in SLI.

I can't even begin to imagine what it's going to look like in 20 years. Photorealistic VR environments? I remember thinking you couldn't get better than VGA when I got my first VGA card.

My first graphics card was a Diamond Stealth 64 which actually had sockets where you could add additional ram to the card. Made the jump to a true 3d card with a pair of Diamond Monster Voodoo 2 cards in SLI a few years later.

It's sad how the GPU market has shrunk to only two players in the gaming market.

What do they do at the Canadian HQ ? So they do any engineering? Or just marketing/sales ?

Dam I had 2-3 older GPUs that all got thrown away over a decade ago, my parents threw them out without asking if I wanted them still.
