If you were purchasing a car, and the one you want was sold out but they had the same one without the sunroof, would you be OK with paying the same exact price even if you never plan to use the sunroof? Should Samsung start selling versions of their monitors without stands and charge the same price since some people plan to wall mount and won't use them? Just tell the buyers to be careful right?
If so, then Intel should thank you since you are their exact target market - a consumer that will happily agree to being taken advantage of while still supporting the company.
why would i care about looking 'cool' to a buncha strangers online? i feel sorry if internet ego is important for you
i'm more disgusted we've allowed this thread to hit 10 pages, meaning more hits for this awful click-bait piece @ Tom's...best title of 2019 so far.
your examples are almost comical because as a consumer you always
have the option of *gasp* growing a backbone, walking away, and not buying it! What a revelation, right? Shh! don't tell your credit card about this big secret. and the majority uses the included stand that ships with a monitor, whereas iGPU are almost irrelevant unless the most budget of builds/HTPC in which case just buy the one with iGPU. Whoa, who would've thought it was that easy?!
Intel is welcome! Let some dumb consumers pay parity for disabled bits. Too scared to build a PC? If you mean using Google is too difficult please just buy a pre-build/laptop. Thank me later if you're in this group.
