I'm trying to do that in Canada. We're getting there, cheapest I've seen it for the last month is $523. Price keeps yo-yoing from $549 to over $700+. I imagine the price will drop further once the Radeon VII is released next month!

Crypto is a hydra, cut off one of it's forks and two new forks will just pop back up.
you can only expect it to stay dead long enough for the prices to lower in a short period.

trolling an adult is very dangerous, don't try it at home nor at work. you don't want to play tag with a rabid man.

With the latest increase in difficulty, only those that need to replace dead 10-20 cards out of their farm should buy GPUs for mining, except the poor suckers who just now decided to enter that market with 1-2 cards.

While it is not dead, for the "regular people" is isn't currently viable until AMD or nvidia release a new versions of cards that get a great hash jump. Though that will cause another mining price increase like last time.

Still GPU availability is still an issue even a year after it was declared "dead".

Yes, yes, it's crap for mining, yes. Go for those Asic boxes instead. Sniff somewhere else will you?

I think that many coins will change the Algo and then we will see the GPU mining coming back to live, but this time the 8GB+ GPUS will be the choice.
