[Tom's Hardware] Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD Review: More Layers Brings More Performance

Quote:
But instead of “refreshing” it with the same flash, Samsung decided it was time to switch things up a bit with its new 9x-layer flash. Just as the flash is stacked to new heights, it seems performance is hitting new heights, too. The resulting Samsung 970 EVO Plus is exactly what its name says: a big Plus.
Looks like Samsung took a good thing and made it better.

Now drop about $100 off and it'd be golden.

You might say the conversion rates are a bit Loonie. The 250gb model for 90 USD is a smoking hot deal - 970 PRO like performance for much lower price.

It'd be really expensive or they still have a "dram shortage" April the evo plus 2tb will be out and technically faster then pro.

I'm in Canada too - don't look at just Amazon for computer pricing, look at Newegg or CC too. Also, these are for sale yet so I don't know where you're getting that pricing from.

Samsung doesn't have a big lead (or lead at all) like they used to. New WD Black and ADATA 8200 PRO are right there
