[TechPowerUp] New Noctua Thermal Compounds (plus cleaning wipes)

"Noctua today introduced NT-H2, the further improved second generation of its award-winning hybrid thermal compound. Combining the iconic NT-H1's proven features, superb ease of use and renowned long-term stability with a novel, fine-tuned formula of microparticles for even better thermal performance, NT-H2 is an enthusiast-grade paste for the highest demands. NT-H2 uses a new, fine-tuned mixture of metal oxide microparticles for even lower thermal resistance and reduced bond-line thickness at typical mounting pressures. This allows it to achieve an even better performance in most application scenarios. In Noctua's standardised internal testing at various platforms and heat loads, up to 2°C lower temperatures were attained."

To be also available in 10g 'packs', for idiots like myself, lol..

As to the wipes, "pre-moistened with a custom detergent mixture, these wipes are ideal for cleaning CPUs, GPUs and the contact surface of heatsinks in a quick and efficient manner. For enthusiast users who take off and install their coolers frequently".
Never pull, always wipe folks. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Suggested retail prices:
NT-H2 3.5g: 12.90 EUR/USD
NT-H2 10g: 24.90 EUR/USD
NA-SCW1: 7.90 EUR/USD

As seen here: https://www.techpowerup.com/251981/n...cleaning-wipes

Will be trying this out, Kryonaut's nice but.. am no longer sure i need bother to this extent to be honest. If the NT-H2 is thermally equal to the mastergel maker nano, am all set personally.
(nano's still hard to find down here, meaning it's probably been sitting on a shelf for eons before it gets to me; the Noctua on the other hand, i know it will sell like crazy, so -all things thermally equal- is to be the better choice)

Pride, honour and purity.

if only these things doesn't have a shelf-life.

trolling an adult is very dangerous, don't try it at home nor at work. you don't want to play tag with a rabid man.

I used to love NH-T1 but then started noticing that the pump out on it is ridiculous. I use it as a test TIM now, ill use Kryonaut or GC Extreme on GPUs and CPUs for sure. NH-T1 ill use on low wattage CPUs at this point.

Physics be physics, they all do
Some though are better than others; much better in fact. They won't net you that extra .5 of a degree in the beginning, but .. hey ^^

technically it should still work better than without a paste, so long as it's still usable after 5~10years on the shelf.
e.g. i'd buy a 10g tube and only use like 1g, and the next time i'd use it again would be a few years later.

Am kinda like that as there's always some PC needing fixing or re-doing
Or a family member's.. or a family member's girlfriend.. or neighbour.. and so on ..

In the end it comes out cheaper, lol

Will see how it compares to other pastes when 3rd party independent tests are done. There are plenty pastes on market at decent prices even. Differences between pastes are minimal for the most part.

Agreed on the latter; as to the former.. who do you trust?

The one forum native, famous for his reviews, that once pitted a 140 fan along with 120s for a "review"? The other forum native that cannot even grasp why some fans have two Wattages specified in the back? And without that stopping him, ever, from posting 'review' after 'review'? Tom's Hardware, that does indeed review pastes yearly, but also advises to pre-order because 'it just works'? Teenager sites like Vortez comparing a TR4 cooler to a 30euro 2066 socket one? Some Youtube channel perhaps, in between RGB bling show-off breaks?
Wondering out loud here, not trying to goad you or anything; you really know of anyone, do please mention? Have honestly lost any interest in watching/reading them all.. just dunno, barely if ever worth the time. Good for discussion and i will mention them all, don't get me wrong, but trust them? Nope, not again

(thanks to a lot of you folks here, i know better by now)
