There have been 4 sitting in the marketplace here for weeks, they just recently began to sell.

imho, they really should have released this with an msrp of $599, would have had an excuse not to match exact FPS with a 2080 at that price point.

As of this morning they're already being resold for $900 USD + on EBay. Seems to happen with all new launches.

AMD hasn't competed against Nvidia's halo products hardly at all sense the 2600xt days. The level of performance on this card is fine, the thermals and price frankly are not. This should be a 600$ GPU with a price cut in six months.

For compute this card is dirt cheap especially with 16GB of memory.

The days when AMD matched or got near Nvidia performance and cost significantly less are gone. I would like to take a trip back in time to those ratios as well, but it aint happening folks.

so basically unless you use more than 8gb vram or want 7nm bragging rights there is literally no reason to buy this card over a 2080...

stop spawn-killing and SAY NO TO ABORTION!!!

Yeah it is not going to happen. There are key factors for AMDs success and they are not here yet.

1) Nvidia has to mess up somehow, bet it process or architecture.
2) AMD comes up with a new architecture.
3) People actually buy AMD GPU when they are actually a better product.

AMD has always had 1 or 2 or even both at some point in the past 10 years but never 3.
As long as people chose Nvidia then no money will go to AMD.

That was the conclusion in several reviews I have read.

Though if the rumours are really true, and they will produce very few cards, the price makes sense. Those who want them will buy them, stocks will be done, and there will be no need to reduce prices, since there won't be any cards.

You can see that stores already cleared the first shipment. If second shipment will be just as little, they will clear those as well.
If AMD make total of 20-30K of those cards, they will all sell.
