Quite unimpressed. Why should anyone buy this for gaming, when RTX 2080 is at the same price point with similar performance, better energy consumption and DLSS and RTX (even though these might not be implemented widely)

For the mainstream market this launch is pointless.

I'd like to see some testing with a good loop to completely discard this card for everyone.

Mainstream? $700 is not mainstream. Also even if this card got a positive look and performed better then it does it would only serve for building up AMDs image not help gamers. Most people look at this GPU to see what AMD can do not what they can afford to buy.

Some major issues with drivers and lack of compatible overclocking tools. Would have to see how well it does once these mature before making a purchase decision.

Out of box performance is about where we expected, which isn't quite good enough to recommend it over the competition with the price they are trying to get for it.

Graphite TIM is a non-starter...evidently only used due to contact issues and still outperformed by conventional TIMs when replaced.

I'm so disappointed. Used GTX 1080TI it is. If I even bother to upgrade at the moment. Thank God Nvidia took the shackles off Gsync.

Or I'll just do a whole new system when Zen 2 comes out with Navi (if that's even any good). Maybe it's just not even worth upgrading at all in the near future.

Can you find used 1080 Tis these days? Also, Navi will probably not be faster than this. It's a Polaris replacement. Just get a 2080 Ti. You know you want one.

Just as I expected, it trades blows with the RTX 2080 but has less features but it's worth it for the 3.5 Tflops of FP64. I'm going to try to pick one up, wasn't expecting it to be 1:4
