First you have to define the word stock since running the 9900k at default settings it uses less power than a 2700x. While cheating motherboards run the processor in an overclocked state. I also want to add my 6700k uses 180w @ 1.4v when overclocked to 4.8Ghz so we can see how efficient the Core series has come since the release of the 6700k without any IPC improvements.

There's an oxymoron in there somewhere.



200w is roughly 1.4v iirc. Full turbo is 120w. Stock is 95w-100w.
Are people really this eager to just bash something? Surely there's a healthier way to get that out.
