I dont think big share holders and investors are happy.

Or big companies using the Intel CPUs in their data center servers.

Or big companies, that rely on the Intel embedded CPUs for their products.

If you do not care for this vulnerability, its your problem. But i can assure you, a crap ton of people and companies actually care.

Maybe not regular employees. How about the CTO configuring a new cloud server?

This still hasn't changed, and wont, maybe ever. Its dips a little, and always goes back up.

Not going to hate on AMD for taking gabs where they can though, not at all . Ryzen is doing pretty good, I am happy for AMD, however an exploit that Intel didn't find, is not comparable to the years AMD, put out horrid designs that users didn't agree with, and then horrid support for said products. AMDs own actions lost them the marketshare, not an Exploit, and its going to take alot more than 2 lines of good chips to gain that trust back.
Now, now. Let's not forget Intel's shady practices had more than a little something to do with that too.

SMBs are especially susceptible to failure due to limited resources. Some or most are dependent on SaaS and, of course, others' security policies.

But, i agree with others, for gamers - no big a deal.

Sure, if you worked as a janitor, sales, HR, PR.

I assure you, that the competent people on the important positions know very well how dangerous any vulnerability can be.

Just so you know, i had an idiot boss, who did not know anything. And a brown nosed guy, who was playing the big guy. Who do you think was pushing for BIOS updates when Meltdown came to light? Not them. Me and few other colleagues did. And we escalated the things to the superior of our manager. And they acknowledged the issue.

Still waiting for the explain lol.

"This is not the first time AMD has accused Intel Corp. of abusing their power as the leading manufacturer for x86 processors."

Chicken or the Egg, Intel advanced a further lead of market share, due to abusing the power as the market leader. They were the market leader long before, and still are. The shady business practices, which I disagree, thats just business offering rebates to thwart a competitor isn't shady IMO.

Regardless, the way I read the reply, was Intels shady business practices, led Intel to be Market Leader, however thats false, AMDs poor business and dev decisions led Intel to be market leader.

That said, I completely see none of this as shady. Its a welfare case, in a extremely socialist country, nothing more. They are trying to help the poor defenseless AMD, its a participation trophy for being the losing side.

All company's do this, all the time. From selecting retailers specifically, to exclusivity contracts.

Are we going to let Microsoft sue Sony because God of War is not allowed on Xbox? Or Bitspower for not allowing Mod My Mods to sell Bitspower? Do those things suck for consumers? Ya, sure they do, however that doesnt make them shady business practices, thats just business.
