When your product is just an inferior and more expensive version of an already commonly avaliable field of products, I fail to see how anyone can call it "great". Perhaps you're confusing the words "great" and "substandard" or "subpar".
Beats headphones fall into this category as well. They aren't terrible but you can get similar quality from China for less or much better quality for the same price. Though I can appreciate Dre using his name to sell an OK pair of headphones for premium prices. IIRC Apple bought them as well.

How is this relevant news?

Here are for generic airpod style headphones set that do basically everything these apple ones do, for cheaper, and have been around longer:

Now can we get a mod to lock this not even close to news thread?

That doesn't even have an apple logo on it...how will I know they're the best of the best without apple's seal of approval?

I don't see how they could overlook this, I'm sure they'll design them so they're compatible with our beloved chopsticks.

I think the increased battery life is a solid improvement. Recharging them all the time can potentially be annoying.

Personally, I much prefer over the ear headphones.

Do you have any proof that they give you cancer? I'm genuinely curious. And don't use that "cell phones give you cancer" stuff from the 90s/early 2000s. That turned out to be false.

Well if being turned into a sheeple is enough I'd say they are a cancer. Give it few months buy the knockoff for $15 or less on Ali express.

I doubt knockoffs even support anything other than SBC. Making your lossy music more lossy is pretty much what you get with these generics.
