[TH]No, That Isn't Intel's Graphics Card Design, It's Just Fan Art

Well, the tech press sure got this one wrong. Turns out that isn't even a render from Intel, after all.

Quote:
Contrary to several recent reports, Intel hasn't yet displayed a render of its planned graphics card. Instead, the company recently displayed some conceptual fan art from Cristiano Siqueira at its Odyssey event at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2019.

Siqueira is the same student from Brazil that made a series of conceptual Intel graphics card images that swept the internet earlier this year, but Intel doesn't employ him, and his self-titled "Dragon Scale" render doesn't represent any planned designs or prototypes from Intel.

trolling an adult is very dangerous, don't try it at home nor at work. you don't want to play tag with a rabid man.

If they showed them, then they are evaluating the reception and might just go with it. The first concept art was well received when it went around a few months ago, even Intel congratulated him. The second design (see below) is also very interesting, perhaps even more so, if they scale it up on a bigger card with two conventional fans.

It looks about as interesting as the GTX 550 Ti reference design. I wouldn't be surprised if Intel just relies on AIBs and do the bare minimum with their reference designs.

I've had enough of blower fans. I've got an MSI card with a blower that sounds like a 747 lifting off the runway. I was really happy to see mostly traditional fans on the newest AMD and NVIDIA offerings save for a few AIB vendors. While these are sleek looking designs/renders in the article, I would pass on an anticipated sound basis alone.
