And I don't know why the review is surprised about CPU overheating with that small cooler while gaming. It would be strange if it wouldn't. Anyway, definitely its purpose is for NAS/HTPC systems.

Seems the layout of the board is well considered.
But since it only has one ethernet port, it's a deal breaker for me.

I seriously had no idea BioStar was still around until reading this article...

On that note, this little MoBo looks amazing for an HTPC/LivingRoom Gaming setup (Steam Link etc...)

Where's the price tag?

Plasma (Gaming/Multimedia) (Windows 10 PRO):
Ryzen 1600 OC'd @ 4.0Ghz [AIR] ||| 8GB ADATA DDR4-2666 APG "GAMMIX" ||| 750W Antec PSU ||| Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB ||| 240GB Sandisk SSD

PlasmaNix (Linux Workstation) (Lubuntu 18.04 LTS):
Athlon II X2 @ 3.0Ghz [STOCK / AIR] ||| 16GB Kingston HyperX DDR3-1600 ||| 500W Antec PSU ||| 74GB RAPTOR HDD ||| Adaptec CERC 1TB RAID1

Interesting, but so is this: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...82E16813157807 for the same reasons. But the Asrock is cheaper ($74 vs $97), faster: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compar...444211vsm37811 and silent since the cpu tops out at 10w.
The pciex16 slot only runs at x1 on the Asrock, so it is not good for gaming. But you are better off not going with either of these for that purpose.

I'm getting one soon!

I'll be doing a showcase build with Silverstone in one of their rackmount cases. It'll be hosting a cloud for me and a friends networks at his place and serve as my second location storage for my photography

biostar has always been a bit of a corner shelf budget manufacturer, but i will say of the half dozen of their products ive had come across my table ive never had substantial issues with them and neither did the end users.

as per the op, what an absolute absurd case for this build, and a pathetic cpu cooler that looks like it should be hanging out the bottom of a netbook.
